The problem is with the referral report and the field called IE Clinic. If the patient is not coming in for treatment (for any number of reasons), it will always appear that this patient is still pending an opportunity for an IE because the IE Clinic will state: Unassigned when in fact they will never be able to come into the clinic. The Patient might not come in because of insurance or the patient is feeling better and is not interested in therapy at this time. Leaving the Patient record in an Unassigned status at the IE clinic, leaves management to believe the Patient is out there and still can come in for treatment. When in fact the Patient will not be coming in for treatment.
