That sounds like SUCH A GREAT IDEA! So often we have sticky notes on paper charts that say things like "PACEMAKER," or "Needs Progress Notes for additional visits. Yes, we can add notes to the appointments, but those are so easily ignored or missed. If there was an alert or pop up when opening the patient's profile, you wouldn't be able to miss it. I love this idea and really hope it can be implemented someday. - Tori
An alert in the patients chart that will pop up saying something that is important for the therapist to know about, like say a latex allergy, or the patient is pregnant. Also, this would be useful if a authorization form is needed to be filled out on that visit. This would also be useful in therabill to show if claims need to be held until the patient contacts the insurance or reminders of patient balances on accounts.
Suppose you have to get a patient to sign something or be given something by the therapist. An Alert note could scroll or pop up (in a color) informing the front desk/therapist of the pending action. When it is complete, a check box could be clicked to indicate that the action was no longer needed.
