when a session has zero balance why doesnt it automatically go to close session instead of providers having to manually chose this when posting ERAS? The only way to move my zero/paid in full sessions is to do each date of service/procedure code one by one and close session

Tonya, please reach out to Therabill Support to get assistance with this. There are two scenarios in which an ERA should default to "Close Session" when posting an ERA. Support will be able to look at specific examples in order to assist.

why cant the system automatically post sessions into finalized once they are paid in full with a zero balance instead of leaving them in pending insurance?
