Please use normal words to describe what the rejection was. There us a lot of time wasted trying to figure out what it is.
In order to better handle the rejections that we receive now that Availity is our main clearinghouse, we recently updated the logic to use the Claim Status Code that is included in the rejection. This code is selected by the payer/clearinghouse to describe why it was rejected. We are regularly updating our Knowledge Base to help further explain the various solutions based on that code. If the rejecting entity also sends back the free-text field, we display that information as well. These free-text messages can provide additional information. It is up to the payer/clearinghouse to send the correct code and free-text information. Therabill simply displays the information we received.
