It would be great if when you filtered statements by a certain date, if a balance was present from before that time, it would still show up on the list of patients with a balance due. We have patients that have returned many times over the years. Some pay their balances quickly, some set up payment plans that take a while to complete. The patients that were here 3 years ago, don't need or want those very old dates that are paid off on their current statements. However, if you put a start date when batching statements (for example 1/1/24), anyone who does have a balance 2023 nd before (but not after) would not show up. We still need them to get a statement. Our old system would allow a start date of 1/1/24 and anyone who was here previously but paid in full, would not have dates on their statement from before 1/1/24. Anyone who was here before that and still has a balance, would just have a line at the top that said " balance forward" and money due from before 2024 would still be on the statement, just not itemized.
