We have A LOT of patient that are treating 2 separate injuries at the same time. 1 injury is with their private insurance, the 2nd injury is through workers comp or no-fault carrier. Because both cards are active, when we bill a visit to private insurance it will list the WC info such as the date of injury and the box that is check that says " Is this related to employment". Then the private insurance will deny for being realted to WC or no-fault. Then we have to submit corrected claims OR redeterminations to Medicare explaining they aren't related. Its a constant hassell for us. the 'injuries' need to be completely seperated.
