For the first time in years, I am having patients being denied for benefits used by medicare. For some reason the KX modifier alert is not being noticed. Once again, I am told it is on the left side of the 2.0 page, but that is not where the front desk person looks for things. The 2.0 layout is only user friendly to the therapist, yet even they say thy are not happy with having to scroll to look for information that used to be right in front of them.
The KX should automatically be applied. Therapists are not treating patients that are not medically necessary and that can not be backed up with documentation.
