Ability to merge or delete duplicate insurances

In case a duplicate insurance is created, and some claims were marked as sent to the duplicate insurance then you could merge the two (or delete one). Merging would be the best option (Kareo allows this option) because then you'll be able to input the COB Batch Insurance for the claims that were accidentally sent on the duplicate insurance that you don't want. I had this happen last week and I had to send all the claims back to the insurance invoice area and pretend to "resend" the claims to the actual insurance I wanted. It was quite a pain. Otherwise I couldn't post the payment for the claims because the EOB had some claims from the duplicate insurance that was misnamed, and some were part of the actual insurance we wanted.

    YES, I agree. It also gets confusing for another staff member doing an intake when there are so many options for someone to choose from. Many clinics using WebPT merged their records from another EMR and have the same issue. To delete or merge would be a really helpful change for 2022. Thank you.

    Yes! It would also be nice to be able to update the insurance name in Therabill as well with out messing everything up when billing
