Ability to distinguish the date of change for insurance updates
A way to make changes to a patient's insurance plan on the current case vs having to create a new case. Creating a new case causes more work for the front office and billing team to clean up.
Absolutely. We should be able to note what dates the insurance coverage was in effect and then render it inactive and create a new insurance. Creating a new case causes confusion amongst practioners and office staff.
I agree. I think this is the biggest oversight in the entire WebPT EMR platform when it comes to administrative workflow. The additional administrative burden this causes is, quite frankly, absurd. If a patient notifies the office of an insurance change after the fact, it affects the front desk, the therapist, WebPT support and WebPT billing. This is not an issue within any other EMR I have used and is possibly reason enough for me to not recommend the platform.
