When you have 2 cases why does Therabill pull information from first Case
For instance John DOE had a workcomp case in 2015 for shoulder. He has returned with new diagnosis that is not related to work. Entered patients commercial medical insurance as HMSA BCBS, However, therebill has it checked off as workcomp even thought that is not set up in system that way. This is a big problem why does it do this? Can you fix this glitch?
This is simply due to the current design of the system. Certain information, such as accident information, lives at the patient level and not the case level. You would simply need to update the patient-level information, such as removing the accident date.

It needs to be at the case level though because a lot of patients come in currently for two different injuries therefore, two different carriers. It can be WC for one injury and private/commercial insurance for the other injury, SO when we bill a commerical visit to commercial carrier, it has the WC info listed on the claim and carriers deny.
It would be great if this could be fixed. We like to keep our WC and Auto cases completely separate from commercial insurance. We thought a work around would be to just create a new patient in WebPT but if the name and DOB are the same, it still merges to one account in therabill.
