Many times patients forget to call to cancel their appointments, even though they receive text messages/voicemail about their upcoming appointment. It would be great if patients had the ability to text their response regarding their appointment in real time via text message (from their text reminder), ex: press 1 to confirm, press 2 to cancel, press 3 to reschedule. This would help to reduce no-shows and cancellations at our clinic.
Hello, and thanks for your Idea portal submission! Responding to text/phone reminders is a feature that we don’t currently have planned, but may consider in the future. We’ll make sure to let you know if this feature is delivered.

This really needs to be a priority as it is now a expected feature by clients. We also do get people that regularly believe they can text or email right back.
Time for you to get a new texting vendor then. Even my small dentist office has the ability to confirm/cancel/reschedule my appointment thru their automated texting interface.
Responding to text/phone reminders should be an added feature as patients respond to the text and we do not see and there no notification on the reminder that tells them to not respond or responses are unseen. In our facility we charge for a missed appointment without notification and we have charged patients because they have responded and we are unable to see these.
I really think you should reconsider brining back the fax communication log re-fax icon when the fax did not go through. It seems like there is a lot of steps now to re-fax any faxes that did not go through. I think it's very inconvenient when you have a busy physical therapy office.
YES we need this. Hoping that this feature can be added very soon since it is 1.75 years later and it has not been done. Young folks would prefer to text a cancellation rather than have to explain why they are cancelling so they do not bother. This feature would help with no show rates!
WE NEED TO GET THE OPTION TO SEND A THANK YOU KNOW WITH OUR FAXES. WE PRIDED OURSELVES ON LETTING REFERRAL PARTNERS KNOW WE WERE THANKFUL FOR THEIR REFERRAL.
THIS NEEDS TO BE PUT BACK ASAP
We need to get the note was faxed icon back. Now we do not remember if we faxed out the workers compensation notes or recerts so it's really messing us up. Bring back the icons showing who was faxed. What a disaster this is not having the faxed icons anymore
Can we adjust the text of the reminders so that patients know that they aren't responding to the clinic directly.
I agree with the post by this guest.
3 responses would be perfect.
When the email reminder goes out, there needs to be a notice show at the beginning of the email stating DO NOT REPLY. We have patients telling us they replied to the email which we do not get.
I absolutely agree with the importance of having this feature. There is many third party contractors/companies that already have this feature in place. Patients do not feel the need to call to cancel because they think it can be done through the text. There should be 3 links: 1 to confirm, 2 to reschedule, 3 to cancel.
Yes, please add this text confirmation feature. There are many 3rd party companies that offer this feature. It would be nicer to have this integrated directly from Webpt.
The text should state that you cannot reply. I had a patient reply to the text message reminder and nothing was received that the text did not go through. The patient did not show for the appt because it was thought to be cancelled.
